Alyssa Lloyd ’26: Leading The Way At Princeton’S Rockefeller College

I’m a junior from Reardan, Washington, majoring in SPIA with minors in Journalism and Entrepreneurship. I grew up on a small farm, which instilled in me a strong work ethic and a passion for learning.

My diverse academic interests reflect my desire to make a positive impact on the world. I believe that SPIA provides the perfect foundation for me to pursue a career in public service, combining my interest in policy with my entrepreneurial spirit. My Journalism minor will allow me to effectively communicate my ideas and connect with diverse audiences.

Growing up in a rural community, I’ve always been fascinated by the power of storytelling. Whether it’s sharing the stories of my community through journalism or advocating for policy changes, I’m passionate about using my voice to make a difference. My experience on the farm, combined with my academic pursuits, has taught me the importance of hard work, resilience, and collaboration – skills that I believe will be invaluable in my future endeavors.
